8: David Glazener, Slaying the Giant

Kit McCarty invites David Glazener to tell how he triumphed over life’s gigantic adversities with rock solid courage, persistence and optimism.

Show Quotes

I discovered that God had a plan for my life, so I dedicated myself to that and to whatever He wanted for me in the future.

So what, if something doesn’t work out? There’s something else that will.

If life gives you lemons, make lemon pie.

I never felt worried. I was concerned, of course, but not to the extent that I was wringing my hands and wailing. I had questions, and God provided answers in His time.

I always believed that something would turn up. Something would happen that would allow me to serve God. I didn’t sit at home and wait for miracles to happen. I knocked on doors, I made calls, I put my feet to my faith to believe that God would provide if I would go to do my part.

Being a Christian made the difference in my life.

Forget the mistakes of the past and focus on the future.

Maybe that’s why my parents named me David. I always believed that my life would amount to something someday.
